Post workout pain

Im new to this. Ive been running two week and walking once week then i add a day wherw i do squats pushups and crunches.. my legs are killing me today so i took rest day. My question is will i always have post workout pain and is there anything i can do to reduce it?

Its not for everyone but after doing long runs, I used to shower off my legs for 5 minutes in cold water. Its difficult but I swore by it.
Don't let the pain stop you, over time it will get easier but the pain never really goes.
Edit: I should also add, look into a structured running program. C25k or C210K are great for beginners, with scheduled rest days it should also ease your current muscle pain.0 -

Avoid doing too much too soon. Also avoid going too long between workouts. You might consider doing squats every 3-4 days. You might also consider following a proper strength program (NROL, Fitness Blender, etc), instead of doing random exercises.0 -
