Post workout pain

Im new to this. Ive been running two week and walking once week then i add a day wherw i do squats pushups and crunches.. my legs are killing me today so i took rest day. My question is will i always have post workout pain and is there anything i can do to reduce it?

    Stretching off after each exercise session is key. If possible use a foam roller after each running session, if you don't have access to one a tennis ball can be a great aide.

    Its not for everyone but after doing long runs, I used to shower off my legs for 5 minutes in cold water. Its difficult but I swore by it.

    Don't let the pain stop you, over time it will get easier but the pain never really goes.

    Edit: I should also add, look into a structured running program. C25k or C210K are great for beginners, with scheduled rest days it should also ease your current muscle pain.

    Avoid doing too much too soon. Also avoid going too long between workouts. You might consider doing squats every 3-4 days. You might also consider following a proper strength program (NROL, Fitness Blender, etc), instead of doing random exercises. :+1:
