Kansas and Arkansas are pronounced differently.

If GH can stand for P as in Hiccough
If OUGH stands for O as in Dough
If PHTH stands for T as in Phthisis
If EIGH stands for A as in Neighbour
If TTE stands for T as in Gazette
If EAU stands for O as in Plateau

Then the right way to spell POTATO should be: GHOUGHPHTHEIGHTTEEAU

Yes, English can be weird. It can be understood through tough thorough thought, though.

More than just a pretty face, this one.

    oh you flirt

You can't see with your eyes closed

    Funny story...

When I was about 5, and my younger brother was more or less 3, we were sitting at the kitchen table while my mom cooked dinner at the stove, with her back to us. My brother kept closing his eyes, licking his index finger, groping for the sugar bowl, and sticking his finger in it, then into his mouth. I simply looked on...

Since, like most moms, mine had eyes in the back of her head, she said over her shoulder, "Stop sticking your finger in the sugar!"...to which my brother replied, "You can't see me! I have my eyes closed!"

You will be exactly half as old as your mother only once in your life, and that is when you are the same age she was when she gave birth to you.
