When NBC decided to air 'The Office' after the Super Bowl, execs encouraged the show's producers to cast celebrity guest stars. They booked Jack Black, Jessica Alba, and Cloris Leachman but instead of writing them in with the regular cast, they stared in a fake movie the cast watched.

I hear a lot of people advocate for unapproved "natural" remedies/supplements. Some of the logic they give is that the drugs were made from something so why not just take the "natural" ingredient the drugs were made from.
The first ACE Inhibitor, a class of frequently used antihypertinsives with their generic names ending in "pril", was derived from the venom of the Brazilian Viper, Bothrops Jararaca. So by the "natural" logic, people who take this type of med would be better off going to Brazil and getting themselves bitten/killed by that snake than taking a pill every day. I suppose it would be effective for the goal of reducing blood pressure, but is it worth it?

That the “Choose Your Own Adventure” series of books came about after the creator ran out of bedtime stories to tell his daughters, so he asked them what they thought the protagonist should do next. He would then continue the story based on their choices.

J.R.R. Tolkien passed away in 1973. If you reverse that number it is 3791. Three rings for the Elves. Seven for the Dwarves. Nine for Men. And one ring to rule them all.

If you’re in a car going 60 mph you travel about 18 feet every time you blink. The average person blinks 15 times per minute. At that pace, every 20 minutes the average person drives a mile with their eyes closed.
