I stopped running frequently and lost 7 lbs

I used to run about 4 times per week. Due to a loss of time (not an excuse, I know) I stopped running for about 2 months now. My measurements are down, my weight is down, etc. has this happened to anyone else? I do plan to resume running soon now that everything is less hectic and health is important.

Don't know? Maybe something is wrong with your body to lose weight without performing any exercising or cardio workouts.0

Have your eating habits changed? It's possible that when you were running regularly you were eating more but when you stopped you started eating less.3

Um, less muscle (and less fat if you have been eating less). And less water retention, probably. I'm thin and running builds muscle in my legs and butt so I am bigger and heavier when I am exercising, but not in a bad way.
Good thing is that any fat you lost should stay gone and the muscle come back when you get back to running.1 -

I'm a cyclist, not a runner. Bike almost every day. In October I got hit by a car, spent the night and next day in the emergency room, and did not bike for 3 months after that. In those 3 months I lost about 20 pounds because I also didn't eat much. (Depression can wreck your appetite.)
Weight loss is all about calories. Exercise is a great way to have more calories to work with, but, at the end of the day, weight comes from calories.
I'm so much happier and fitter now that I'm riding regularly again.0 -

I would chalk about half of that to muscle letting go of the fluids they retain for repair.
Rest calorie deficit potentially...0
