Chickpea curry with couscous or rice

    1 can chick peas (drained)
    1 can chopped tomatoes
    1 onion
    crushed garlic
1 or 2 tsp curry powder

Saute onion then add garlic and curry powder (add more or less depending on how hot you like it). Add chickpeas and stir it around a tad then add canned toms, heat it up then serve on either couscous or rice. (yes I know it's 6 ingredients if you include what you serve it with :p )

    Devilish Chick Spread:

    3 cups drained chickpeas
1/2 cup mayo (I make my own vegan version)
    1 tsp curry powder
    1 Tblsp prepared yellow mustard
    1 Tblsp lemon juice
    3 Tblsp fresh chives

Pulse everything together in the food processor until blended. Enjoy!

    (I know there's 6 ingredients, but I always was a rebel!)

    Chickpea pasta!

    pasta
    chickpeas
    diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
    garlic
Other veg as desired (suggested: mushrooms, zucchini, spinach, etc)

Cook pasta to not quite al dente. Soften or brown garlic, add other veg and chickpeas and simmer together until tomatoes break down slightly. Finish the pasta in the sauce.

    1 can drained chickpeas
Any seasoning - I use garlic salt and rosemary

Put chickpeas in bowl w/ seasoning and toss to coat. Spread on greased cookie sheet and bake @ 450 degrees for 1 hour. A yummy, crunchy treat!

I did this and ended up with a smoky oven full of burnt chickpeas  I think you meant 350 degrees, not 450

Made this today and loved it! I need to name it. If you make and like, let me know if you name it :) it's more than five but can be altered to be five -only....

All of this is to taste, I like mine lemony...

Kale, chick peas, onion, garlic, tomatoes (sautéed with olive oil and lemon juice)

Sauté Kale, onion, garlic, chick peas w/ olive oil and the juice of one or two lemons

When close to done, add chopped tomatoes

    Colorful and delicious!

tishtash - how much of the spice blend? like 1 tsp of each ingredient? please let me know i really want to try this!

srry totally didnt see this question! I use the following

1/4 tspn salt ( i have to watch my sodium so you could use more)
    1 tspn garlic powder
    1 tspn cumin
    1/4 tspn paprika
    1/8 tspn chili or cayene

use mini muffin tins if baking in the oven as they come out less dry. If frying form into patties rather than balls.

Someone else recently posted a falafel recipe similar but she puts cubes of feta into each one before cooking. I think this sounds like a great idea and plan on trying it out this week sometime.
