I'm 66 years old and on January 1, 2016, I weighed 275 pounds. Today, I weigh 210 ponds. But I am at a stand still. My Granddaughter is getting married Sept. 10, 2016. I really want to be under 200 by then! I have never been on a cite like this so I will need help with communication and every thing. I am home most of the time because my husband is in the last stage of Alzheimers. I am his only care giver except foe an aid who comes on Mon and Wed for 2 hours. Please help me if you can! I am a very competitive person.

@sherryriley2 Welcome to MFP, please join us. Sounds like home is very stressful and hard to deal with. I hope you are able to take the time when you have a care giver there to relax do something for you. (Probably not, taking care of things that need to be done.)

I have had some struggles over the past few months but I am back in the game and focused. I have my mom visiting and we are really eating healthy, staying under 1200 calories, and working out. I am substituting 1 meal a day with a large low sodium vegetable wonton soup (no wontons sadly just veggies) and it has really helped, not feeling deprived at all, who knew healthy food could fill you up. Bean sprouts are one of my fave veggies now.

Getting closer to the lose 20 goal and I think I should make it barring a multi week plateau...thank you Serafina57 for starting this Challange.

My big news is my BMI is now under 30...a huge goal attained! Adding an hour or more of swimming to my regular hour of yoga and weight exercise routine is helping me reach my "at least" one pound/week loss on track.

Adding swimming to my exercise program has made a tremendous difference...I can't walk/jog because of a bad knee but I'm sure glad I can swim!

I gotta say, being consistent is what works for me. I eat essentially the same food every day. I mix it up a bit, but not much. Then I exercise, regardless. I need to exercise on Saturday's as well to get the last 3.3 lbs off!!

Gosh today is the last day of the challenge. I'm going to miss logging in. I made my goal with a half pound to spare on 8/16 & I haven't budged since!!! My father died unexpectedly on the 18th & I'm dealing with a husband who's injured his back so I'm doing all sorts of extra "stuff" that should mean weight loss but not happening!
Thank you Serafina57 for starting this challenge...I think you met your goal...how did everyone else do?
