Any advice for a girl whose never ran a day in her life?
I have pretty good stamina, as I've been a dancer since was a little, but I'm not sure how to get in the swing of running!

Get yourself a C25K (couch to 5K) app. There are a ton of them. I'm the same way, not a runner, but I just finished doing it (I used the Zen Labs version because it syncs with MFP). Just follow the program, make sure you take days off between sessions, and don't be afraid to repeat days and/or weeks if you need to.
Welcome to running! Remember: slow and steady. It's not about speed, just run for time and speed will come.
Good luck!1 -
I've never run, in fact I hated it, and finished the c25k goal of 30 min run a few days before my 61st birthday last week. You can do it!1

I'm also doing the Zenlabs C25K running app. It is a well designed app and the running plan is working well for me.0

There is a C25K ( Couch to 5km ) group on MFP. Lots of support and guidance from other people new to running and those who have completed C25K and moved on to longer distances.0
