    Was trying to do 10,000 steps every day but finding I need the odd rest day to recover. Probably not a bad thing but makes me feel like I failed to achieve my goal. In future I'll set a monthly challenge instead of a daily one.
    Any walk is a success, and needing rest is not failure. If your body is telling you to take a time out, then do so. Your goals are great, but life can sneak something in to. I have had to take a rest day with my groin muscle smarting so bad these past two days. I am not good with rest days at all, but I accept them.

    Neighborhood Walk 5,473 steps 2.25 miles 1:00:01 292 cals

    So hard to rest, but then again, I could not do my normal. So, I took the neighbor's dog on a walk for an hour. He is my best buddy (black lab named Dakota). He has been gone since last October and I am so glad he is back home now.

    HI! I read this forum yesterday and put thought into joining. I know its not much but I went for a 30 minute walk today, As fast as i could without like speed walking.

    May be a bit TMI but yesterday I told myself ill walk in a few days when my, Erm, Visitor left :p?

    BUT I didn't use that as an excuse, I went out and I did it ^_^ Im quite proud of myself.

    HI! I read this forum yesterday and put thought into joining. I know its not much but I went for a 30 minute walk today, As fast as i could without like speed walking.

    May be a bit TMI but yesterday I told myself ill walk in a few days when my, Erm, Visitor left :p?

    BUT I didn't use that as an excuse, I went out and I did it ^_^ Im quite proud of myself.

    A thirty minute walk is awesome! Good for you!

    Update from me for last 8 days.

    Sun - rest day
    Mon - 15,997 steps
    Tues - 11,067 steps
    Wed - 19,575 steps
    Thurs - rest day
    Fri - 10,447 steps
    Sat - 40,332 steps
    Sun - 22,920 steps

    I think that this is great! I know it's not the same but you averaged 14,625 per day.

    This weekend I was off work. That is very rare.
    It made 3 rest days.
