Yes, pretty much this, although I most often use 5 spice powder. Delicious.
I really don't understand all the suggestions to add honey/maple syrup/brown sugar... they are already super sweet, that sound like it would be way over the top.1 -
I just want to say salt, pepper but mostly lots of butter.0

Cut raw potato into french fry shaped strips (chip shaped strips for our UK friends!); Toss in olive oil (about 1 tablespoon per large potato); spread in single layer on baking sheet; sprinkle with favorite seasoning (I like salt, garlic powder and cayenne pepper -OR- salt and sweet curry powder); bake at 425F until done. Enjoy!!1

Just today I spiralized mine and pan fried with some butter, S/P, and cinnamon. Ahhh-mazing.0
