Hi. I just started the optifast 900 diet this week. Is anyone else doing it? I think the optifast 900 is only available in Canada ? Is anyone doing Optifast 800? let's be friends
This is my second time doing the diet. The first time I did it it was in 2012 and I did partial shakes with one meal and I lost 30 lbs. I kept the weight off until recently and I have been my highest (278 lbs). I would like to get under 200.
I am having a hard time and for some reason I don't feel that full. Maybe I should drink more water ? Any suggestions? it's only second day and I'm hoping this passes. The first time seemed so much easier but I think it's because I had one meal and 3 shakes. I don't know if I'm actually hungry or I'm bored lol
Has anyone has success maintaining the weight loss? I think the first time I did the diet I never focused as to why I ate so I'm really trying to get down to the root and really make lifestyle changes I can stick with.

Optifast 900 doesn't seem like a weight-loss diet, it's just meal replacement drink. As long as you're eating at a calorie deficit you should see some loss, some people use meal replacements as a way to help them eat at a deficit.
If you're hungry, definitely always try drinking water first, and try and listen to your body to see what your hunger signs are.0 -
That doesn't sound like a lifestyle I would want to change to
I'd recommend eating real food, just less, but not too little, either. Of course you're hungry when you don't eat properly.

Try this for a couple of days.
Staying within your calories really works.
Focus on healthy for a good life.1 -

"Feeling full" is something you're going to have to learn to get over. Optifast is concentrated calories per unit volume and isn't a high volume low density diet for a grazing animal.
With VLCDs you usually get quickly to a point of not being hungry (a starvation reflex) but the need to feel full is an emotional constraint that may lead to failure. Learn to recognise hunger and go find something else to do away from food if the meals aren't satisfying.

FYI vlcd aren't allowed to be discussed on this forum.0
