@Melodieccurn I don't know how tobsend you a message.
This is the way of brain injuries. You live minute to minute. One day he will be doing good and the next not. No recovery is the same for a brain injury and just expect that it is going to be rough--especially the first few days. My husband didn't recognize me for days after he came out of his coma and after that he didn't know my name for a long time.
If your husband is in the neuro until of the hospital, those nurses and doctors are amazing and they know what they're talking about. Ask questions. They won't mind answering your questions. They're used to it. The more you know the better equipped you'll be to deal with it.
Be prepared to be his voice and his advocate and eventually his caregiver for a time.1 -

I'm guessing someone got uppity because the OP used curse words. Never mind that she had every reason to. I hope everything turned out OK, this was a couple of weeks ago...0 -

Agreed, very upsetting circumstances. If you are uppity after the first couple posts why bother returning to the thread. Some people have nothing better to do I guess.0 -
I wish we could flag idiotic flagging of posts.9

I hope her husband is okay!0

Doctors also may choose to remove a portion of his skull to relieve the pressure on his brain. This sort of surgery was done by cavemen with flint knives thousands of years ago. Modern doctors got this.2

Hope your husband is better0

Sorry to hear. How are you doing?0

Thank you all so much for your support and kind words.
Things are getting really better. He is at home now. House care. They didn't decided to operate him but rather to wait and see if hematoma willl get smaller by itself.
He is a bit different. But neurosurgeon told me that is to be expected. He is still just resting and sleeping all the time. But is able to stand and take glass of water from the kitchen if I am not around.
Can't wait for the next CT scan.
