    I'll join I need to lose 50/55 lbs I used to be 228 loss it 3 years ago was 145 but I just kept gaining and now I'm 180lbs

    I just started today. I've lost weight in the past but I gained it back before reaching my goal. This time is different. Yay.

    I was at 218 then lost weight all the way down to 160 but gained it back :/ so I'm trying to see what I did wrong and establish some lifestyle goals.

    I still have 79lbs to lose, lost 30 upto now, Can i ask, what loss rate you have set? Im sure i read here that if you have over 75lbs+ you should set it to 2lbs per week, 40lbs to 75lbs 1.5lbs per week?

    Being a bigger girl the 2lbs per week loss at 1280kcal is staring to wear very thin, i just dont have enough kcals for 3 good meals and a couple of snacks.

    I could carry on but im not sure if to up my cals decrease my weekly loss rate. Im scared if i do this i will gain weight? because it adds like an extra 200 calories a day.

    can anyone offer any advice? or plans on what they eat for 1200kcal?

    I am set at 1 pound a week and have trouble eating all the calories recommended. I have 73 pounds to lose yet. Maybe try adjusting to 1 pound a week, most weeks I lose more than 1 pound.

    I set small goals for myself to make it easier. Ultimately my goal is 175 but my 1st small goal is 235.

    Ive had issues with my weight fluctuating from 254-258. It seems to not wanna go anywhere else & very frustrating.

    Still room in this group for one more? My friend lost 100lb here and said the peer support was crucial. I started mid August at 247 and have lost 5.4lbs in 3 weeks.

    Can I join too? I have been exercising and dieting for a while, but I just started trying to regularly track my calories and exercise using MFP. I have been stalling lately, so I was hoping that this would kick me back into high gear. I need to lose 65 pounds.

    Do NOT try to lose quickly. You need time to adjust to a healthier lifestyle, whatever that means for you. And you need time to adjust to your body as it changes. It's been over a year for me and I'm glad it took that long, otherwise it would have been too confusing. And even so, I've had issues with all the comments about my loss/body. Give yourself time. Come up with a sustainable food plan. And above all, be kind to yourself.

    Curious. Do you mean bad issues with positive comments about your current thinner body? Do you feel better about the compliments now? I would love to have people complimenting and noticing a loss. It is a huge accomplishment. People likely mean no harm. But I do know there are people who are uncomfortable with attention to weight loss changes.
