    Mention to him/her that you are in their town and ask to get together? Maybe ask for tips about where to go and what to see. Perhaps they'd want to come along instead of just telling you places to go/see.

    Same.. the guy would have to literally pick me up and carry me on that date.. I've never been on one. To scared to face guys that ask me out. I always imagine that they're joking when they ask or playing a cruel joke on me.
