Not a clever thread title about carbs

I've been seeing my Dr to help me lose some weight. It's been a great accountability tool for me as I've lost over 7 lbs just this past month!
At my monthly check-in this past Monday, I met with the nutritionist at my Dr's office. She has had me kind of switch my focus from counting calories to focusing on carbs.
I've done the low carb thing in the past. I was limited to 20 carbs per day and 1,000 calories per day. All under the supervision of a "Doctor". I lost quickly but didn't keep it off. 20 carbs per day was simply not going to work for me.
This is a little different. 30 carbs per main meal and 15 carbs for the in between meals. I can still eat all the things I love but this just really helps hone in on that moderation skill.
Is anyone doing anything similar? I kind of got lost in the kitchen tonight as I was trying to put things together to take to work tomorrow. I ended up just packing some lunch meat and triscuits for lunch and some grapes, almonds, and a boiled egg and an avocado.
Any suggestions on food? Snacks? Meals that are delicious but also reasonable in reference to carbs?
I don't do well when I feel frustrated. It leads to feeling defeated and then I feel like giving up. I'm trying to avoid that. I've given up more times than I can count in the past four years and I'm tired of not succeeding!

If you decide to go this route, which sounds FINE, please consider joining the low carb group:

folks THERE will be able to advise you going forward with a lower carb approach. What your doc is suggesting isn't all that low carb, and should be pretty doable... depending on the person...
GOOD LUCK!2 -
Mine is fairly similar. I average about 80-90 carbs per day. I will send a friend request, my diary is open to friends.1

But I do count calories in addition to watching carbs.1
