DC or Marvel?

DC only because of Batman and Sandman. They just seem more dark and gritty compared to Marvel. DC movies are horrible and nobody can do them justice (heh) as of late. Yeah, Fingers crossed Suicide Squad turns out to be the redeemer. Wonder Woman could have potential (Only good thing about BvS).1

Agree on DC/Batman. Christian Bale's version is the one bright spot. Enjoyed Wonder Woman but I think BVS underutilized her...she could have added a lot more.0

DC from the few comics I've read
As for movies, Avengers 2 was the last straw. I'm sick of it all. I'm watching Dr. Strange for the actors and Suicide Squad for a friend.1 -
Marvel. Granted DC has more interesting worlds and backgrounds, but I feel like Marvel has pretty solid characters. Especially in cinema.1

DC always DC
marvel is so boring3 -
Dc comics/cartoon but marvel movies1

Big changes afoot Film Wise, I think.
We're A.D. now - After Deadpool.
I think that's a game changer.
Comic wise Marvel has some pretty epic stuff, Old Man Logan, Kraven's Last Hunt etc. But it's gonna be tough for anything to match up to Killing Joke or Red Son.
TV Wise - DareDevil. D'Onofrio and Beranthal were immense.0 -
I didn't mind BvS, intact I quite enjoyed it. Nothing will beat the Heath ledger and Bale combo though.
Dead pool is awsome. I agree with the above and think this is a game changer.
Regarding Marvel TV shows I really enjoyed marvels Dare Devil and Jessica Jones as they're more on the dark side than programmes such as agents of shield.
For DC series it's the same type of scenario, I love Gotham but the flash and legends of tomorrow are too light hearted0 -
DC definitely has the better characters. However their universe is convoluted with the multiple Earths and reboots.0

Marvel, DC is lame0

Can we be a fan of both? I know I am.0

Marvel, all the way, only thing DC has is Harley Quinn! lol0

+1 for Marvel.0

I like both. I have always read more DC comics and watched most of the animated movies. I didn't use to watch Spiderman and X-Men cartoons. I have only read a few comics of Marvel though. I just get more into the DC comics. I also have really enjoyed the Marvel movies a lot more than DC. The DC movies have been kind of disappointing.0

DC only has batman and superman, Marvel is the tits0

I like DC comics and their animated stuff better. The characters are generally more mature.
Marvel's movies are fine.
I read plenty of both though, and enjoy them. It's just that sometimes the relentless teenage-drama vibes of say, the X-Men, can get to be a bit much.
But, it varies by era/writer anyhow, so it's tough to generalize. The same staff usually work for both companies at some point.

I'm sure they kept the title to appease those that have outrage at "outrage culture".1

is liking both considered a party foul?1

DC for comics, Marvel for movies.0

is liking both considered a party foul?
Nope, The fact is, they NEED each other, and they need each other to do well. For example, Civil War (the movie) came about as a response to BvS. Feige decided they needed a big event rather than just a Cap 3 that would simply be a standard Cap vs a traditional adversary (say Baron Blood) type movie.1 -

i agree with this. because, people who are not into this stuff lump all of them together. A BvS failure isn't a reflection on just DC, but the whole genre. There are people out there who have no clue that Deadpool was a movie made by Fox with a Marvel property and not a "Marvel Movie" in the sense that it was done by Marvel Studios.
So I think they need each other to succeed, cinematicly, otherwise the entire genre suffers.
as far as the books are concerned, i like a little from column A and a little from column B.2 -
Movies? Marvel. X-Men, Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool, they have such incredibly good movies. I like Batman movies but not enough to offset all the wonder that is Marvel in that arena.
Comic books, DC, because Sandman and Lucifer. Oh yeah.
But I also like a lot of stuff from other publishers, Atomic Robo is one of my absolute favorite series.1 -

I agree with this 100%. A lot of people don't know the difference, they have never even read a comic. So if one fails, it does really just look like "superhero movies" fail. I really love how popular TV shows and movies based on comic books are becoming and I think it is really because both have been trying so hard to compete with each other.1
