Cant lose leg fat

I've been working out for a month and eating less calories with a goal of losing 2 pounds per week. Ive lost 7.6 pounds! Im starting to get frustrated because the weight comes off of my abdomen area, but my legs stay the same. My goal weight is 130 (I'm 5'6") so I have 6 pounds to go. Has anyone else had this struggle?? Did the weight eventually come off your thighs? If so, when? Thanks, I appreciate any input!

Welcome to my life. I had to get down to a lean (I lift heavy *kitten* weights) 128 at 5'4" to be able to wear shorts. My legs were still fatty but you could see my ribs. Genetics.

That said, once I hit that point I started bulking (purposely gaining weight in muscle and fat) while lifting weights, and though my legs are an inch bigger again they LOOK a heck of a lot better.

Thanks for the response! Looks like I'm going to start focusing on weight training. I've been doing mostly cardio to slim down because weight training isn't something I've been wanting to do.

Makes a huge difference. You might find you like it. Hopefully you do!

if you only have 6 lbs to go you should not be trying to lose 2lbs a week that is too aggressive and you will lose lean muscle quickly. fat comes off where it wants. I would weight lift as well.for fat to come off it takes time. be patient, set your calories to lose .5 lbs a week, unless you want to bulk which then means you eat in a surplus.

One month at two pounds per week = 8 pounds; you've lost 7.6... sounds like you're doing great!

By the way OP, your legs look slim. Just not very muscular. The weight training will help for sure.

did you read the part where she only has 6lbs to go? 2 lbs is too aggressive of a goal at this point.

I have to totally agree here, I think your legs look nice and slim...doesn't look like there's any fat to lose there! Perhaps try weight training as mentioned to firm them up a little bit if you think that is needed.
