Activity Tacker

Which one is the best?? I'm talking about walking, some kettle bell exercise.. No running. Just something that is accurate. Also... Do you have to use your activity calories? With weight watchers you didn't need to add extra points for activity. I would like to not use them if I don't have to.

A FitBit One is great for step based activity. You clip it on, so it doesn't record steps when you move your wrist (playing the guitar) and it does record steps when your wrist isn't moving (say mowing the lawn).

Nothing is going to be accurate for kettlebell (sorry) ...... HRM's are designed for steady state cardio. This would be helpful for running. But HRM's use one formula for everything.

When you sync a FitBit to MFP you will get calorie adjustments because MFP gave you a calorie deficit with ZERO exercise factored in. A FitBit is comparing your stated activity to your actual activity. This just keeps your deficit the same as you signed up for.

I use the Garmin line for a number of reason. 1) water resistant up to 50 meters. I can shower with it, I can go to the water park with it, I can shower with it. I have nothing to worry about if i get caught in a downpour 2) The VivoSmart and VivoActive lines have full notifications so you can get updates on your wrist from your phone like a Pebble smartwatch. 3) The VivoFit line has a 1 year battery life per battery replacement. 4) They are ANT+ compatible so you can either send signals from, or to the device depending on which one you get.

Yes MFP is based on the NEAT program which wants/needs you to eat back a portion of the calories you burn off. Some as low as 50% some as much as 75% back. This isn't an activity tracker issue. It's a MFP issue.
