Who is she by the way?

Denise Austin is an aerobic health and fitness instructor. I first started exercising to her 30-minute TV program called "Getting Fit with Denise Austin" back in 1988. It was broadcast on cable, I don't remember what station, for many years. She released dozens of fitness videos leading the viewer through whatever the trend was; dance aerobics (her best), step, Pilates, yoga, etc.

I don't understand how any of this discussion about her is relevant to her career or impact. She advocated for a healthy lifestyle overall, interpenetrating movement in daily life and steered clear of fads and sensationalism as best as she could. Denise was not about obsessing about looking good, or young, or whatever. She was about being healthy and I can identify with that. Fans wouldn't insult her by focusing on her sex appeal.

I got tired of being called fat names in elementary school. I watched Denise Austin and worked out with her every morning before school. She influenced every bit of healthy mindset I have today.

^^^^ I have a bunch of Denise Austin DVDs (well, actually VHS!!) -- I'm five years younger than her, so I could relate better with her than some, due to her genuineness and her love of fitness. Although I haven't exercised "with her" for quite awhile, her tapes got me started with exercising for many years. I think I'm aging fairly well, but she looks fantastic!

Do you actually think it will make sense to any rational thinking person?

I would love to hear what he's thinking. He already knows that though and obviously delights in making people scratch their heads... He wouldn't have written such an unclear, cryptic post if he truly wanted to hear others opinions.

I used to love DA. I would record her Pilates workouts before HS and then do them in the evenings when I was trying to find a way to get the weight off. I didn't stick with it, but she was very genuine and she didn't make me feel ashamed about not being able to do all of the moves.

Oops. I misinterpreted this one. He did say "She still looks good but at least she looks her age now." I think he likes her this way, but is waiting until she gets older. Maybe he has a thing for older fitness chicks?

I think it's a crappy PR stunt. Trying to get some internet traction (oh look this one worked...yeah, not really..but at least the thread has stayed alive for over 24 hours) ...either she has a very bad-at-their-job PR team, or a family member or she is doing it herself
