5:2 intermittent fasting

I am a week into this way of eating and so far so good. The first week I didn't really know much about it and didn't do anything except take in 500 calories on my fasting days. The other five days I just ate whatever. Some days it wasn't much and others it was too much and crap. Just yesterday I calculated my TDEE and my BMR so I know what I should be eating on those other five days. I can't even be sure how successful last week was because I was house sitting and used a different scale and when the week finished I was back at my home so the scales were not consistent. When I started my week this week at home on Monday I was 213, I fasted on Monday was 210.5 and then had my about 1700 calories yesterday and was 209 today. I realize that this isn't fat loss at the moment, but I feel a lot less bloated. My question is: does anyone else follow this plan? Any success stories, or even some before and after pictures? Thanks!

I think if you can't keep up a diet for 10+ years it's not worth doing. I lost 100 lbs and didn't have to starve myself one day. Fasts have never been a good way to lose weight, but they are a good way to sell books.0

There are a couple of 5:2 groups (see below). I tried it, 500 was too low for me. I like zig-zagging calories though. My lowest days are 800/1200. Then I eat maintenance on the weekends.

I've heard that many people find this to be a successful and doable eating plan. I don't think it's much different from just having days where one does not have much time and winds up eating very little. Sort of like normal life. :-)1
