So if you want to do it in the status... You have to use the phone app. No *kitten* idea why but welcome to mfp. From the phone app, when you click to add a status, there is an option to add a photo. I'm to lazy to post the screenshot but there are a bunch floating around the forums.
Hmmm...? Ok. The only option I see on my phone in update status is a progress photo and it didn't show up in the news feed? Who knows, I'll keep trying . Thanks for helping me, you've been like my mfp help desk 0 -

There is a selection to post to news feed or post to community . I have only done it a few times but I do know it's possible.
