Do you match?

Are you more focused on your workout clothes matching or giving your all during the workout?
My clothes rarely match... In fact many times they are on inside out! Lol! Are you a matcher or mis-matcher?

I wear whatever we have GYM onsite where I work and go before work at 430am . So I Mismatch!!!!!!!!0

This baffles me a bit. It takes exactly zero more time or effort to put on clothing that matches, but you seem to look down on those who choose to. I guess if it makes you feel better about yourself, mismatch away.0

I don't match at all lol...I bought them to. Atch but now whatever is clean and there goes on !! Haha0
-
I don't make an effort to since they'll get dirty anyway, but sometimes it happens. Most of my workout bottoms are completely black, so any top will work with them.0

I suppose it you bought an outfit together, it would be pretty easy to match. I don't have much of a wardrobe, but I bought my workout shirt and pants together so they would match...0
-
All of my workout pants are black, so they pretty much "match" all of my workout tops. I don't worry about matching the tops to my sports bras or to my socks or headband. As long as I'm dressed in appropriate gear, I'm good.0

I don't worry about it. I am at the gym to get sweaty and feel good, not to impress anyone My husband sometimes shakes his head at my choice of shorts and tshirt but hey who cares?0

Sounds pretty judgmental to me.0 -
I buy matching outfits and take the time to fold/store them that way. It's not an effort for me to match. And, trust me, I give it my all on a run or during a work out.
But, I draw the line at putting make up on to go to the gym or for a run. Only time that happens is when I go to the gym on my lunch break because i've already got make up on for the day. If it's first thing in the morning. . .my face is scary!!0 -
The people at my gym must think I'm disgusting, because when ordering work out clothes online, I clicked 3 times on the top I wanted instead of just once, so I literally wear the same outfit every day.
I used to not care, when I was starting off, but the more I got into it, workout clothes became my reward!x0 -
I buy cute workout clothes, and workout clothes that match, why? because it makes me feel like a badass and I am more motivated to go to the gym and kick some booty. Just because my pants are loud and my outfit matches doesn't make my workout any less hard than those people who don't match. I probably get judged when I walk out of the locker room because I have on makeup, my hair is done, and my workout clothes are cute and match, however I workout right after work so makeup and hair done are for that reason. I don't really care though, I do what I want and what motivates me, and thats cute matching workout clothes and going to the gym right after work.0

I'm fairly certain the OP didnt mean for this to come across as judgemental. I think her wording was incorrect is all.
People are TOO sensitive these days. it's kind of ridiculous.
as for my answer to the original question: I wear whatever. ...as long as what i am wearing is APPROPRIATE. I saw a guy at the gym the other day with a shirt that read "got tits?" on his effing shirt. seriously? that's not appropriate at the Y considering its a family atmosphere.0 -
I wear Navy PT gear, so I look like a f***ing minion from Despicable Me :grumble:0
-
Its no effort for me to match, all my bottoms are black so any shirt I have ready works.0
-
I match AND I kick *kitten*. Not mutually exclusive events.0
-
I am a mismatcher for now. I walk/run on my treadmill and do 30DS so everything is in the comfort of my own home. I do go outside and walk from time to time so I do wear matching clothes for that. I keep telling myself that I can't wait to get skinny and wear all the cute workout clothes haha0
-
I'm a matcher.... but then most of my things are hot pink and black... I have one green and one aqua outfit...
I match down to sports bra and socks.0 -
just do shorts and a shirt nothing fancy0
-
I buy whatever I think is cute and sometimes it matches. I have several shades of pink, orange and purple so they mostly go together. Although I can be very bright to look at.0
-
Workout clothes/farm work clothes...whatever is close to hand and I don't mind it getting dirty or smelling of horse manure. Mind you, I work out at home, never off the farm.0

I'm this way too. I just bought new running shorts and three different tops as a reward for myself and encouragement to lose the last 15 lbs. All my bottoms are black, so the shirt doesn't matter, but I made sure to buy colours that wouldn't clash with my sports bras. Just because I care about matching doesn't mean I don't work out my hardest.
If all my regular workout clothes are dirty, I have no problem grabbing random sweatpants and a t-shirt, but I still wouldn't "mismatch". It would be almost impossible for me to mismatch. All my bottoms are black.0 -
I'm slightly OCD and try to match when I pack my gym back the night before...it makes me feel good if I look "good" when I work out(as good as you can look while working out and sweating insanley).
I also love to wear racer back tanks on days I do arms and back because I think I look hot. :flowerforyou:0 -
I will plan out my outfit/gear to go with my planned routine or what i am going to be working that day. I also like to plan out my meals. I guess it is an individual thing and doesn't matter as long as you are getting it DONE!0
-
I buy everything off the sale racks. It just so happens that it's usually hot pink, so basically all my workout gear matches without me trying to coordinate. I hate pink, but no one in the gym would ever know that...
But yeah, I don't get why matching your workout clothes is an issue. It's always nice to feel like you look cute, no matter what the situation.0 -

My clothes are always out side out, front side front ... with shirts on the top half and shorts on my bottom half. I'm picky like that!
I don't have a lot going on with colors and patterns, but I do match up my clothes a little. My rule is that if the butt of the pants is tight and stretchy, I wear a longer shirt.0 -
Of course I match, including socks, bandanas, and headbands if I wear them. I keep trainers in a few colors, too.0
-
I definitely match. The few times I did not, I almost stroked out (JK).0
-
OPs wording could have been better.
I don't wear matching socks like ever - except my smart wool running/hiking ones.
I sometimes match but I mostly care about being covered and comfy.0 -

There's enough people on this board who like to feel superior because they think that looking like crap at the gym makes them more dedicated (there's at least one post a day about wearing make-up/decent hair to the gym).
I'm not being sensitive. I don't really give a frack what anyone wears to the gym. I just think people should get off their high horses occasionally and listen to themselves.0
