Should I be logging all my exercises and activities such as walking the dogs even though I have a fitbit??

I recently got a Fitbit Charge myself and I've found that it doesn't count steps towards your active minutes unless you've been walking for at least ten minutes, so if your dog walks are under ten minutes you may have to add it yourself.

As for other exercises that don't involve walking, yes you should add them yourself.

For what it's worth Garmin doesn't count my walks, 1/2 hour lunch walk, as part of my burnt calories. If you're getting your HR up, via cycling, running, stair stepping, jump rope yes I would. If you're just walking your dog at a leisurely pace I would just count the steps.
