If I eat breakfast I will be starving all day long for whatever reason. I drink a morning cup of coffee.

As for an app or timer, my belly works just fine. I can't actually say I'm doing IF though because I believe having any calories at all breaks the fast from what I remember.

Another breakfast skipper here. I also delay eating until lunch--sometimes I don't eat until 3 or 4 pm. Helps me stick to my calorie goal. I have coffee, water, Diet Coke throughout the morning. Keep doing what works for you! The old adage of eating "three square meals a day" is not helpful or necessary. :)

This is my day also. I never eat breakfast, ever. I've been doing a 16:8 or 18:6 since 1979.
My first food is after my workout which I typically do at 3:00. So I don't eat anything until 4:00 or 5:00. But I work from home and my hours are late. Sometimes till midnight. I'll eat small meals or snacks all the way up to 11:00, and bedtime is 1:00. Going to bed with a little food in my stomach (not full though) helps me sleep, which is something I've had issues with in the past.
I drink coffee and then lemon water during the day.
If I start to eat in the morning, I still eat at night, and end up going over in calories. So I just wait for later to start. IF has always given me insane energy during my fasting daylight hours.

    Another Breakfast skipper...

There is a difference between skipping breakfast because you don't want it, and being deprived of breakfast... those studies don't differentiate between the two. Of course, if your body craves breakfast, you are going to do poorly if you miss it.

However, food before I am fully awake and functioning just repulses me. Once I have been up for a few hours, my body gives me the "food" signal, and I eat. Usually around noon. I do two meals a day during the work week and 1 meal a day on the weekends.

I have not experienced any energy issues and I love being able to eat two really nice meals, vs 3 stingy ones... one of which is abhorrent to me.

Good call on the app
Today was my first full day ... and I will say I didn't feel that usual slump or tired feeling. But only day one so testing is still on!

So in reading more about IF , I'm considering giving it a go. Do any of you use an App for a timer or reminder?

I love fasting, my eating time is from 12-8pm :) keep it simple, you will remember, do not stress too much.

I've never liked or wanted food in the morning & haven't for 20+yrs BUT ppl did tell me it slows down my metabolism so I've been making a smoothie every morning & I feel SO much better & started loosing weight. I'm not real hungry by lunch so it's easy to plan my meals

I find, if i eat what I want for breakfast.. fried egg on 100 calorie bagel with laughing cow light cheese.. i get so hungry after an hour.

If I eat just a hard boiled egg.. i'm not hungry for hours.

I think each person should keep notes on what they 're eating and hunger patterns to find what works for them.

It doesn't slow your metabolism. You're losing weight because you have created a calorie deficit!
