I feel you. Weighed myself this morning 165 right in the normal BMI range. I'm sick of counting but at same time trying to reduce my thigh fat by September 21st when it becomes time to buy jeans

My biggest problem area is my mid-section. My arms are tone, to the point you can see veins when I'm lifting. And with all the running and cycling I do my legs look like they were carved by Michelangelo himself. But the Gut I cannot lose. I do stair steps, I do crunches, I do planks, I watch my diet, I count calories. I do everything right, but I cannot lose my mid section. And that might be just due to the rate I lost my weight and I've got a ton of extra skin floating around giving me the illusion I'm not losing it there.....

This is how the Fiance is - very lean feeling legs, arms big but feel toned, only place with fat is the belly, and it's big enough that there is clearly extra fat. I think as long as you keep losing weight it will go. Maybe never to 6pack if you do have extra skin, but it will shrink. Use a tape measure and measure it weekly - if that's the only place you have excess, I bet it's shrinking, slowly.

I won't lie, I am very excited about how my body will look when the weight comes off.

I loved your "captain obvious" response to one poster! Made me laugh. Same for me with the way the weight shifts on my frame. I love my butt and hips ....tummy not so much but when it leaves it will be great. I have lopsided boobs from breast cancer so that is cute but I am glad to be healthy. Glad for you young ladies taking care of your bodies now and not waiting! You will be so happy you did. Cheers!

To give a little hope to those hour glass folk...

I had exactly the same problem - had to wear a belt with everything because my waist was so much smaller in proportion to my bum and thighs, and I was buying larger tops than I needed because my boobs were huge! I had a great waist but could never show it off because the clothes would hide it.

I'm now just into a healthy bmi (25) and am losing the last 10 vanity lbs and I can finally say I love being an hour glass! My boobs have shrunk over the last few months, even though they hadn't at all during the previous year, and although my thighs and bum are still where I carry most of my fat, they are now much more in proportion to the rest of me.

Keep at it ladies - eventually it all comes together and those stubborn parts will shrink, then you're gonna be rocking the hour glass!!

    Can't wait!!!!

Allow me to sing you the song of my people: The only way I see any real difference on the lower half is after the top half becomes disturbingly skinny. I don't who to thank in my genetic line, but being able to see my rib cage from pretty much every possible angle before the thigh fat starts to budge isn't exactly the look I'm going for over here.

I think I'm probably a pear shape. Especially after having two kids, it's impossible to get rid of the belly fat. I carry just about everything between my stomach and thighs. My chest is the first place to lose weight which really sucks because it's not that big to begin with!! And then I don't feel like I look any skinnier, because my stomach still sticks out but my chest is flat! I agree, I wish we could spot focus the weight loss!
