Is there anything you don't bother to log?

I don't log spices that get added on the fly when I'm cooking one or two servings of something. If I have a recipe in my list, I've already added the approximate spice amounts. Also the occasional taste test ("licking the spoon") when making a big batch of chili or spaghetti sauce gets a pass to being logged. Pretty much everything else, I log, even zero-low calorie drinks and condiments.1

I log most stuff but when I find myself weighing out my sauerkraut the other day and stuff like that I can probably skip. I'm starting my day with a mile walk and work a physical night job while set to sedentary so it should work itself out.0

I'm just shaking it out of the box. Last night I got home later than I had hoped and did not want to prepare my planned dinner, but I did not want to have a calorie or sodium excursion either, so I selected some low- and no-sodium things to consume in the general direction of nutrition for my needs and logged the rough information on the cans and packages while weighing only the apple. Yesterday was the first day I became aware that my weight loss journey has crossed into the Overweight range of BMI below 30, and I didn't want to put the train in 'reverse' just yet.
Hey, I just crossed into Overweight as well. Go us!

No logging for spices, medications, tasting, water.
Everything else, yes.1 -
I don't log cooking spray, gum, and anything that the nutrition label says is 0 calories.1
-
I don't log water, black coffee, oil spray, condiments (unless mayo), or gum. That would drive me crazy. I also don't log my tea with 2 tablespoons milk (avg) and 1 tsp sugar, because I'm going to drink that no matter what.
I like the idea of quick-adding some calories to account for overage, will have to start doing that!0 -
Wait...you're supposed to log spices?!0

They have calories (albeit not many) so some people choose to log them for greater accuracy. As to whether or not you are "supposed" to, that's an individual choice. Many people successfully lose without logging them.3 -
I don't log zero calorie teas, or most spices.
When I was first starting out, over a year ago, I checked out most of the teas/spices I use regularly & in larger quantities; I logged those that had calories. For some reason, I've never logged the lemon or lime wedges I often put in my (cold) matcha tea, even though I log the tea. That seems completely irrational to me, but that's what I do.
The tea is only 2 calories, but it's saved as part of a regular meal, 1/4 of a lime is maybe 5 calories! LOL
I do log some zero-calorie things just because I want to be able to look back at history & see that I ate them - mostly things I add for nutrition reasons, not just because they're tasty (even though they are - life is too short for not-tasty food).1 -
If it has no calories I don't log it. I also don't log my one cup of coffee a day, but I do log my creamer.1

I don't log spices, cooking oil (I use the spray which has zero calories anyway), sugar free gum, salt and an occasional dash of hot sauce. If I need to add salt to my food (which is rare), how would I log it - 20 grains. I don't use much salt so I don't worry about it.0

I log everything now. I used to not log diet sodas (I have since given those up). But I have found that diet drinks and soy sauce both are high in sodium which promotes water retention and has an effect on weight. The point of tracking isn't to show off what we eat but to help us pinpoint what helps and hurts, so now I log it all. It's been hard for me to transition from pen and paper to the app since I'm still pretty new.2

I don't log anything anymore. When I did I never logged spices, vinegar, or zero calorie beverages.1

I don't log my coffee or unsweetened iced tea (and let me tell you, I get some looks for ordered unsweetened iced tea in Texas). I do log condiments, especially hot sauces and anything related to Asian cuisines for the sodium.1

Herbs and spices, water, zero cal drinks, black coffee, salt if it's just a sprinkle on my food.
I do log condiments, as accurately as possible.0 -
I don't log coffee0
-
Diet soda and water0

I don't log diet coke and sugar-free squash. I very occasionally use a teaspoon of stevia and I don't log that either.
On the other hand, I always log herbs and spices, even if they're only a few calories!0 -
I don't log spices, cooking spray, the odd piece of popcorn (yes one) that I take from my teenager just because he says he won't share, vitamins, medicines (cough syrup or cough drops), or breath mints. I'm pretty sure I miss a piece of candy here or there or miscount my coffees during a day sometimes. I'm 5 pounds above original goal weight after 18 months in maintenance and I am good with that. I am trying to get rid of a couple of those 5lbs because I go for my annual physical soon and I don't want to hear my doc complain about it.0

I don't log anything with zero calories and low amounts of other macros, mainly diet drinks, teas sweetened by sucralose, etc.0
-
If I'm making a recipe, spices get logged. If I'm putting a bit of salt on something I don't log that.
I wasn't logging my artificially sweetened zero calorie drinks till I realized how many carbs were in then, and I'm on a LCHF diet. That changed a lot for me. So now l log everything that has artificial sweetener.

I don't always log every single ingredient in a side salad - I usually log the main components (lettuce, cucumber, tomato) but might miss out the spring onion or radish or grated carrot - it's only a small amount and pretty low calorie so I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. I don't log spices, salt and pepper, lemon juice or vinegar but will log oil based or sugary condiments. I'm logging the milk in my tea and coffee but the standard entry on MFP seems a little high, does 25 calories sound right for a small splash of milk (maybe two tbsps at most)?0
-
I don't log my unsweetened tea or cough drops or spices. Sometimes I log soy sauce and sometimes I don't. It just depends on if I remember to.0
-
I don't log spices or cooking oils if I'm using very little. I log everything beverage or food if I think I'm using over 1/4 cup0
-
I don't log the spritz of cooking spray I use in my pan when cooking my eggs in the morning1
-
Things that have less than 10 calories, usually. So Stevia, coffee, tea, pickles, vinegar (I don't eat a lot anyway) etc.0
-
"Exercise" from normal, daily things, like "Walking up stairs, 3 mins" or "Mowing grass, 30 minutes". That's just silly, and setting yourself up for failure. I also don't log strength training.5
-
I log everything except dried herbs and spices. Too fiddly.1
-
I don't log spices or my vitamins.1
