It consistently comes up with cups and I'd like to change to Milliliters. How do I do that?

Unfortunately, it doesn't. I've made a personal workaround in that I just count each "cup" as 250 mL (although a cup is actually considered to be 237 mL) so that it's easy to count. 1 cup = 250, 4 cups = 1 liter, and so on.
A lot of non-American users have asked for the feature, but unfortunately it hasn't happened.0
