What do do with DDP yoga?

I'm starting today! However, his program is 3 days/week. I am used to working out 5-6 days/ week. DDP yoga is "dynamic resistance training" more than traditional yoga. Would it make sense to do cardio on the off days? Weights? FWIW.... I am 15lbs from my goal weight and I am looking at overall health wellness. Not winning any competitions. Thanks in advance!

It just depends on what you want to do and what your goals are...build/maintain muscle and strength? Lift weights. Build endurance and cardio fitness? Do cardio

What about rest periods and such? Does it not matter much with "resistance" training?

DDP isn't as instance as say, running/jogging or weights....so rest isn't really that important with just DDP. For me, I do DDP on Sundays to increase flexibility for lifting weights.

Cardio on the off days won't hurt you. Like others have said, DDP Yoga is less intense than a lot of things, so it's not going to kill your body and make you unable to do cardio.

Intense, not instance. Stupid autocorrect + no caffeine.
