I am using Jay Robb protein powder, strawberries and greek yogurt smoothie. But can you just mix the protein powder with water or almond milk for less calories?
Sure, you can mix protein powder with water for less calories. But you will also have less satiety. I add fiber and fat to pp and have smoothies close to 400 calories that keep me full for a good 5 hours.0 -

I have a hard time when it comes to eating >100g of protein.
Q: Do any non-body builders supplement with a protein shake (like 6 star) to reach their daily goals and control hunger?
1500 cal
Carb 113g
Fat 50g
Protein 150g
Avoid 6 Star if you are going to supplement they are actually being sued by another company for false advertising because they use cheap amino acids like creatine and taurine to increase the nitrogen content and make it look like they have more protein. https://medium.com/@anthonyroberts/iovate-muscletech-settles-amino-spiking-lawsuit-for-2-5-million-2779b92fead9
Look at the contents of the protein if you go that way and you'll see that many companies add these cheap aminos and not just Muscle Tech. Caveat emptor!
Seriously!!?? I have tried so many protein protein powders over the years, and i finally found one i love the taste of. What brand, you may ask... Muscletech whey-isolate :sad:0 -

Actually, their Elite Series Whey Isolate Plus tested fine. The rest of them weren't so hot, however.

As I said though, there are far worse offenders, and for the love of god, whatever you do, stay away from bottled premixes. They're pretty much all terrible.1 -

Probably because it doesn't have all that protein that's so annoying.0 -

The hilarious part is that they aren't even the worst offender. Check out labdoor.com for protein assays.
Great site as is My Protein. BBC did an expose on the supplement industry and tested one brand that claimed 98% but had a mere 1% protein -- flour has 3%!
MyPro has become my go to. Their prices are nuts, considering their lab results, flavor selection, low-carb content, and the fact that none of the flavors have made me want to vomit yet. I spent like $133 a couple of weeks ago buying a bunch of different 1kg packs of various flavors to try stuff out. They keep this up, and they have a customer for life.0 -
