I'm talking a morbidly obese person with 100+lbs who needs to lose weight ASAP due to medical issues.ShohanaABencomo wrote: »Thank you everyone. I have an umbilical hernia which needs surgery for repair as soon as possible because it is becoming larger. However there are more risks when morbidly obese. I also have gallbladder stones. I'm currently at 265 and was advised to lose as much as possible to undergo surgery.
I suggest using this app and setting it to lose 2 pounds/week. Try not to lose more than that because it does increase your risk of developing more gallbladder stones. What you eat is also important. Your diet can lower your chances of developing more gallstones so include:
1. Foods high in fiber, like brown rice, oats, and whole wheat bread.
2. Fewer refined grains and less sugar.
3. Healthy fats, like fish oil and olive oil, to help your gallbladder contract and empty on a regular basis.
Regular physical activity is also related to a reduced chance of developing gallstones. You should aim for 300 minutes (5 hours) of moderately intense aerobic activity each week because it uses your large muscles (back, chest, and legs) and increases your heart rate. It also may make you breathe harder. Check out this site:
