    Most sandwiches are not reasonable to me. It comes down to opportunity cost. I could eat the same flavors, with roughly equal protein/fiber, as a salad. Then I have 100-200 calories left for something else. Chocolate? Cookie? Chips? Those are all more enticing than 2 slices of bread.

    Unless it's really good bread. I don't keep that in the house though. Too enticing.

    Make the filling into a salad bowl then have one slice of of bread on the side or sometimes I don't even bother and have extra 'filling' in the salad
    Lunch is usually 250-350 cals depending on rest of days balance
