There is a book Body by Science by Doug McGuff about it that I was considering getting. I would welcome any opinions or people's experience with it.
My personal goal is to lose fat (about 45 lbs left to go) and get fit.
Thanks!
I travel to China on business, a month at a time. So the company pays for a gym membership there. I noticed fairly quickly that all of the trainers at this gym train low and slow.
I was doing max stack (180# pin label) on the rotary torso machine. A trainer came by wanted me to try the lowest pin setting 20#. It was way to easy to I just moved the pin back up and slowed down my technique: swimming has strengthened my core quite a bit.
In the gym they also don't have any dumbbells over 24kg. So I slow down for lifts I would normally use a heavier dumbbell.1
