Question is: do you like the original or JC cover more?

I know you weren't asking me, @IVMay , but I think the JC cover blows the original out of the water. Trent Reznor even said once that, when he first heard Johnny sing it, he felt like someone had stolen his girlfriend. The music video is pretty epic, too.

Ditto. So damn true. The emotive sense you get out of Cash and the self reflection of his life, troubles and self destructive tribulations.... I mean - no amount of Trent (and don't get me wrong Trent is a great innovator in terms of industrial genre) could provide that...

Did you ever watch that Columbo episode with Cash as a guest star country music singer? I found it so well fitted his duality of man type character.

No, but I'm totally going to this evening, now that I know such a thing exists. Peter Falk + Johnny Cash = Screen Magic.

Aahhh I remember my first tape in 1991 :) Lovely times. Used to think CDs were so cool with my first brick-weight portabl CD player that fit in..... no pocket whatsoever and would jump/skip/stop at every damn opportunity. Mind you pocket sizes for kids weren't exactly useful for much other than pocket change and conkers :)

You ever hear about that person that said something like: you'll end up alone and defecate in your own excrement within a state funded establishment where complete uncaring minimum wage workers that have no altruistic qualities will deal with you.

They clearly weren't focusing on the issue of state health care. I mean it affects us ALL:

Personally I think everybody is altruistic but I wish the state within the western world would help those who need such attention. It's not fair on people and frankly - it goes against 21st Century progress.
