I'm trying to cut the last few pounds and overeating has always been the worst habit for me. How can I stop unwanted snacking and eating too much? Sometimes I eat when I'm not hungry

You have to decide that you are going to eat at meals and only at meals. Plan your meals and buy just what you need for your meals. Don't eat too little - also make sure your goal is healthy and realistic. Don't eat food you don't like, don't deprive yourself of anything you like (that you don't overeat). If you have emotional issues that require treatment, seek professional help.0

I'm having this problem at the moment, too. As I'm getting close to my goal, I've found that I think I'm just mentally done with cutting calories. I've decided my approach is to give myself 500 calories per meal and 500 for snacks, and no more. As kommodevaran said, planning meals ahead also helps a lot..less chance of picking something up on the fly. Especially if you prep meals ahead, too..I feel a bit guilty if food goes to waste because I skipped it in favor of something else.0
