As the title suggests, I have between 1200 and 1300 cals a day (trying to lose weight). It would be great to find people with similar goals and new ideas for mixing up my diet. Also, my diary is open if you just want to offer suggestions. Thanks!

This is me too. I have been doing this for 3 months, lost 15 lbs but stuck now. I took a week off but ready to jump back in. Motivation has been a challenge at month 3. Months 1 and 2 went really well.2

I'm in a similar spot. I try to stay within a certain calorie range, and I'll do great for a few weeks. Then I'll give myself a cheat/treat day that turns into over eating and lasting at least a week. Maybe my food choices are to bland to keep me interested, any suggestion on how to keep it interesting would be great.2

Hi! I'm trying to hit 1300 cals a day. I'm not the best at keeping my diary up-to-date, particularly in the evenings or on weekends...But I think I've got some good stuff going for work days!0

Hi! I'm also aiming to be in the 1200/1300 range! I don't log my evening meals much as I have them w my husband or with friends and I tend to forget- but I'm a pretty healthy eater - plus a little chocolate a day to keep the cravings away- so I know my evening meals arnt too bad.0

You can add me! I'm going for 1200 call a day.2

Me, too! I'm jumping back in to MFP after having been away for a few months. Got out my winter wardrobe recently and realized I have zero time to turn myself around before I don't fit my clothes anymore! You all say you're looking for recipes and inspiration. Tell me, what does your average day look like, meal-wise? What do you find yourself tired of eating more than others?0

Breakfast has the most variety for me (depending on class schedule). Protein pancakes, plain yogurt with bulgur, and an apple, eggs. I feel like I am stuck in a lunch rut trying to get enough protein that is portable. Usually it is a salad with either tuna or eggs. Dinner is almost always eggs or chicken, and roasted veggies. No matter how I spice them differently it's still eggs or chicken with vegetables.
My biggest challenges are time and portability (for lunch). I don't have a ton of time to devote to preparation. I love to cook, but am used to cooking without worrying about calories, so the change is more difficult than expected.1 -

Exactly how this last week just went for me I had a cheat meal Saturday and just now feeling motivated to control my choicds again. I think the same maybe i get bored of my meals but idk what else to change to keep me going some days 1200 calories is ok and others it's way too little especially with how much I use to eat0 -
Can i join in?my biggest challenge is consistency with my calories and to be in this challenge will help me greatly with accountability.i want to eat up to 1300kcal.do we report here or something like that? i eat bf and lunch at work cantine and i am always very tempted to overeat and also cant weigh my food but this challenge will help me stick to more salads and plain foods.0

I try to stay between 1200 - 1500 calories each day. I don't eat back any "exercise" calories. Feel free to add me. I have an open diary to my friends (might even be open to the public - i'm not sure). I don't work out anywhere near like I used to - but I am hoping to find some motivation to get back on track with that.1

You can add me. I am aiming for 1200 calories a day. I have started this journey on Monday.0

So how is everyone doing? I was very active yesterday and did fine until the evening. Probably going to struggle with tonight also. I lost about 150 lbs with WW points plus and then I switched to My Fitness Pal and I am afraid of gaining it all back and some more. Judy

I would love to be around 1300-1350 again everyday and see where it gets me. Right now I average about 1600-1700 a day and I KNOW that's not doing me any favors. Feel free to add me if you would like and we can work on this together because I need some motivation! I lost about 12 pounds keeping my calories between 1300-1400 a few years ago.0

Anyone can add me! I'm shooting for 1300 cals per day with exercise. I want to make sure I can sustain this, just waiting for the consistent mindset to kick in and then I'm sure it will be easier! Looking to lose 35 pounds and I know the best way for me to get there, no matter how slow, is to track everything. Happy to share support and motivation!0

I'm 1200 too. In addition to that I'm aiming for a 40/30/30 macro. (40% carb 30% protein 30%fat). I think it's helping. Haven't had too many bad cheat days or severe hunger. Been at it for 6-7 weeks and lost about 15 lbs thus far. I'm obese currently at 219 lbs 5'3" and ultimately looking to get under 145 maybe. The lowest I ever got to was 160. I exercise about 3/week. diary is open. Feel free to add me anyone. :-)1

Feel free to add me. I log in daily and keep up my diary. 1200-1400 calories. I have some recipes and cook ahead at times when I can. So sometimes my diary can get boring as I eat what I have cooked for a few days, but it works for me. No need to eat plain, bland food. I spice up what I can.

I have an open diary and eat back quite a few exercise calories. I drink a lot of water to hold through meals. Some days are tough, but I see it as a mental challenge.0

Usually the only way I can stay within the 1200-1300 range today is to workout, which gives me an additional 300 or so calories. So I can eat 1500-1600 calories a day and knock my net calories back down to 1200-1300ish. The only way I was able to eat 1200 calories a day before was to use meal replacement shakes but I discovered I'm highly allergic to them, at least the ones I tried. They were the only thing that kept me full plus I knew exactly how many calories I was consuming. I used them for breakfast, and then just had a light lunch, and watched the portions at dinner time. I also worked out but not as hard as I have to now just to maintain.2
