I do 17/7 daily and keep to my MFP daily calorie goal. Great combination for me!0

Lots of people do IF here in one form or another (IF is an umbrella term for several methods). I did alternate day IF for my weight loss phase and it worked well for me.0

I do IF by default.. been doing it for years (break fast around 11:00 or 12:00 and stop eating around 6:00 p.m.).. this is really just an eating schedule..
Now there are other IF protocols like 5:2, EAT STOP EAT, FEAST/FAST, Leangains, etc, etc..0 -
I have done it in the past with MFP (the Michael Mosley 5:2 method). I'm now using a different method with no calorie counting. I know some proponents of IF emphasise that it frees you from the tyranny of calorie counting, so if you do it with MFP you're losing that benefit. But I think it's about whatever works for you!0

There is a great group you can join that has lots of information here. Just check the groups section and use the most popular sort method. You'll see it pretty high up in the list.
I do a 18/6 Fast and use MFP extensively and it's worked wonderfully.0 -
I have previously done 16:8 and also 23:1 IF protocols. They can help with diet adherence.0

I love 16/8. --have trouble going past without hunger kicking in and have only rarely been able to go to 24 hours. But it allows me to drop what I normally would have eaten for breakfast and use those to create a nice dinner plate. I don't mind a small lunch as long as I have that to look forward to a decent sized dinner. Then my calories goal is complete and kitchen closed for me.0

I don't follow any formal schedule because I find it easier to follow very few strict rules along with lots of general guidelines that I don't follow strictly.
My formal rule that I MUST follow is, "Never go over the daily calorie limit unless staying under the limit would be rude or annoying to someone else."
My general guideline is, "Always skip breakfast and lunch and remember the less you eat at dinner the more you can snack at night."
For me personally, I am hungrier at lunchtime if I eat breakfast and I'm hungrier at dinner time if I eat lunch, and I will always be hungry at bedtime no matter how much I eat during the day. I'm sure this is weird, but since I'm like that it just works better to eat only in the evening and save some calories for late night snacking.1 -
I just started doing 16:8 ... I like it so far..but should know within another week if it is working for weight loss. I use MFP for the forums... but I'm not counting calories ..even though i know roughly what I need to eat.
The hard and fast time line keeps me from snacking at night..and nibbling all morning.
when I would wake up.. i'd eat breakfast..and the first thing on my mind was .. "how many calories do I have to stretch throughout the day!" It was a day long stress.
Not eating till noon or 1:00 keeps me from having to think about food. The hunger isn't really that bad.. and I drink coffee. I actually enjoy lunch so much more.. it tastes better because i truly am hungry instead of "thinking" I'm hungry. Then i go along with my day.. and actually don't eat that much until i really i have to eat within an hour before I start the fasting again.
I'm going to return to my workout routine tomorrow... this first week I've just done the 16:8 waiting to see how i felt to return to an hour workout a day.0 -

Me My first meal of the day is at 1, my last around 6:30-7. It works very very well for me.1

I just started about 9 days ago. It's challenging but I love it. It has helped removed some of the power that food has. Yesterday, I was at jury duty and voir dire lasted longer than we anticipated. They didn't allow for a lunch break. By 2:30, people were murmuring and complaining because they had skipped lunch and were hungry. I was peachy since I can now go until about 4 pm without eating anything.
I feel empowered, and I have actually lost a little weight because it does help me create a greater calorie deficit. I've read that some people binge or overeat during the feeding window. However, I have found a decrease in appetite and cravings as a result of IF.
Hopefully, I will be able to continue with it. I feel it has been beneficial to me.1
