Start Lifting- seeking guidance

Hi Fitness peeps-
I'm a regular cardio girl, I teach Zumba twice a week and run 3 miles a few times a week but need to add strength training and I'm not sure where to start. I would like to be able to do this at home, then eventually train at the gym. Any recommendations as to beginner training plans?

Starting Strength or Stronglifts. Google.
They can be adapted to home environments if all you have access to is dumbbells. But you're better off going to a gym and hitting the olympic bar and doing it right, the way it is programmed, from the beginning. You won't regret it.2 -

The first two sections are probably worth looking into. Also, NROL4W, StrongCurves, Lean Muscle Diet and Muscle for Life are book based and have a wealth of information in them, including diet and exercise plans.1 -
