I wonder if there’s a finite number to have in one’s lifetime.
Once you reach that number, that’s it, no more, all gone, party’s over.
That’s when we turn into old folks.

I live in a large house with multiple bedrooms and people basically living separate lives. One day I was nosy and looked at the mail sitting on the table by the front door, saw a name, then looked her up on Facebook. It turns out that she is an expert in a particular animal science, has a PhD and has at least a few newspaper articles written about her. Plus she got a large grant for 3 years of research into those animals. So I developed a crush on her. It's really nice having a crush on someone. I talk to her maybe once a year but I have to say, her mere presence lifts my spirits.2

How we all have to look out for each other.0

You know that transition from thinking you are a particular way, then you figure out the name for your situation, and suddenly it becomes official? Well yesterday I figured it out. I am chronically disorganised.3

That I find it funny they opened up a Planet Fitness (I know, some don't think it's a "real" gym) kinda sorta near me but right next door they opened up a Shake Shake, a Pressed (smoothies? juice bar?), a pizza place, a kebab place, and a cookie place.2

All the folks I know who got “it” after they had all the shots.

It’s difficult when you have too many options, lol.
In the past when we house shopped we ended up with the house that I knew I loved as soon as I stepped in.
It was a lovely house.
Worst 4yrs of my life, lol so don’t take advice from me on this I guess.
Nevermind. 😂1 -

Hahaha. I like a nice backyard. Apparently everything in our price range comes with a pool which I don't want but I've accepted we'll end up having. Do we go with the newer house and nice backyard or older house and beautiful backyard....after we just had a leaky pipe were gonna go with newer house2 -

I will always opt for the newest house possible. 👍1 -
The problem with having an app to record eating and a spreadsheet where you enter all your data is you get to feel your regrets if you had eaten 'perfectly' since starting your weight loss. Knowing you'd be 15 kg lighter than you are today, and only 11 kg away from goal weight.1

Trying to add up the number of times I’ve heard “I have a performance/assembly/awards ceremony/ student government tonight & I have to back at the school in exactly one hour can you find my dress clothes?” just in the past three weeks.2

The only reason I don't like taking my evening walks when it's warm outside is because, when it's cold, I can wear a sweatshirt and go braless. I hate these damned things.0

Thank goodness it went to the next page, whew.
Hours of silence, it was scary.

My Dr’s office called and cancelled my appt for my refills because they are so understaffed.
It’s part of the largest hospital in OK.
What the hell?
All these people not going to work,
how are they paying for life?2 -

We have worker shortages here too it's crazy
Can they just do the refills over the phone?1 -

The technology is there, but it hasn't been adopted widely. There are services that doctors can use such that you can have telemedicine, with both parties using their phone or pc and having face time through a camera.
That would be an easy fix for appointments for medicine prescription renewal. Idk if insurance, pay structure, or what keeps this from becoming used more.0 -

It's how it's done here. Call the pharmacy, they fax the dr and you get your refill. Easy peasy
We also do appointments over the phone or zoom. For someone with super dr anxiety this is a godsend1 -

We had telehealth calls here. Its freaking awesome for scripts, the doctor calls you tell him what scripts you need and he'll even send the escript to the pharmacy of your choice and you just go pick it up.
Of course for some things you might need to go in every 6 months for monitoring in regards to pills but still its a lot of trips saved.
Telehealth calls were started at the beginning of covid and were only going to be for a short while but they were so popular that its here for good. Plus its bulk billed to Medicare so there's no out of pocket expense above what Medicare covers.2
