Hello my name is Jac, six months ago I had a hysterectomy, so I thought I would start my fitness plan while recovering, I was doing great joined the local gym went swimming and even went to pilaties, I surprised myself as I found I was enjoying exercise, and I was recovering well, but my diet was poor lots of unhealthy food along with A HIGH BMI, so I joined my fitness pal and have lost 5lbs in two weeks.. unfortunately now I have been diagnosed with another prolapse so unable to exercise much. I will need another operation which is disappointing. any ideas as to what will help with the weight loss and motivation...

Keeping an eye on your calories will be the best regarding weight loss. As for motivation, I don't really have suggestions. Maybe look through the success stories board. Many have successfully lost weight through calorie restriction without exercise. I'm sorry you have this unexpected bump in your recovery. Best wishes.

Your gynaecologist or a physiotherapist may be able to suggest some safe exercises to keep your momentum while you wait for your next op.
