Is 1,000-1,200 calories a day ok under these circumstances?

There is no evidence that soy causes cancer. None at all.

I'm with everyone else, 1000-1200 is not enough.
I can handle dairy only if its from goat for some reason. Any other dairy gives me digestive upset. So I mainly eat eggs as animal by product, with goat cheese. Ps- my day so far (I tried eating more "dense" foods while less veggies than I normally do).
Breakfast- protein shake which totaled to 400 calories and 65 grams of protein.
Lunch- one serving of almonds. 1 cup cooked oatmeal (or 1/2 cup dry). Tablespoon of dried cranberries and Chia seeds and cinnamon mixed in.
Snack- 2 oz SF dark chocolate.
Dinner- 1 whole egg. 1/4 cup liquid whites, 5 oz green cabbage, 4 oz summer squash, 2 tablespoons salsa, 4 oz mushrooms, 1 can of spinach, and one tablespoon of lowfat feta goat cheese.0 -
So you should probably do the whole egg instead of egg whites to increase calories. Also add in more beans/lentils/etc for more protein. If you want to recomp, you need adequate calories, protein and train hard.5

You can get full fat goat's milk and yogurt, of course -- I'm pretty into it lately, and add it to smoothies.0 -
Guys there is no point wasting your time trying to help the OP. She has no intention of increasing her intake or trying to become healthier. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10481016/fellow-low-calorie-dieters-add2

When you're ready to actually reach your goals, there's some great information here: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10177803/recomposition-maintaining-weight-while-losing-fat
But if you can't bring yourself to find a way to eat enough to fuel your goals, you'll never get there. It's something that a lot of people struggle with when they change their goals. You're not alone in that. But if you won't even consider adding some calories, even after having so many people who've achieved your stated goals tell you it's necessary, then there's something deeper going on that you need to address.

Healthy and fit people eat and train...they don't eat like little birdies...fitness requires fuel. You're underfeeding...you're in diet mode and you have to get out of that. There are plenty of vegetarian foods that are also calorie dense...there is more to proper nutrition and a healthy diet than fruits and vegetables...part of a healthy diet includes meeting energy (calorie) requirements...
You're never going to achieve anything you're talking about eating the way you are (low calorie).4 -

Not really trying to lose more weight. In fact, I was 132 a month ago and unintentionally lost 7 more pounds. My plan is a recomp. I lift, run, and sprint. Have leaned out a bit but am still "skinny-fat" in certain areas. I just like eating this way. I haven't been vegetarian for long but I enjoy the switch I made. It's not that I suddenly cut out meats. It's from crowding with more fruits and vegetables as substitutes with recipe experimenting and now I love them and lost my desire for meat lol.
Is that you in the black crop top and shorts in your profile?
What is this "skinny fat" you speak of?1 -

Yep, upper half leaned out after losing the originally 55-60 pounds when I was overweight (not counting the additional 7) and occasional lifting. Lower half still needs work because that's the less lean area. Have been including yoga and running to work on leaning out my legs and bottom and to squats with light weights. It's taking a while which brought me here in the first place.0 -

The remaining is eggs, nuts, seeds, lentils, grains, oils, soy, etc. My daily calories average from 1,000-1,200. It depends. For example, today was 1,200 because I forced myself a couple tablespoons of olive oil. I usually cook with it though. Anyways, I don't try to "starve" myself. Heck, my meal plates are PILED with cooked vegetables, and my snacks are often raw vegetables and hummus or fruits and a serving of nuts. By the end of the day though, I just happen to consume low calories (despite high volume). Is that ok/safe? I feel pretty full and satisfied with these jumbo veggie meals lol. I'm 5'6, lightly active, and 125 pounds.
No. Eating such low calories is not okay unless it's for a specific reason where you are under a doctor's supervision.
It is especially not okay if you are 5 ft 6 and 125 pounds.
There are so many red flags in your posting that it's not even funny. Get a referral to a treatment program because if you don't have an eating disorder now, you are surely on your way.4
