Curious to hear what you guys usually order when out at a Chinese restaurant. I love my steamed shrimp and broccoli, and egg drop soup! How about you?

if someone else is making it, kung pao chicken. calories, pffftt, don't come bothering me about that.

otherwise, i'd actually rather stir fry at home. i love lean pork with basically a) one red or yellow or orange veggie, and b) one green one. baby bok choi or that bitter dark-green asparagus/bean/broccoli stuff that usually comes with oyster sauce in a restaurant . . . gai lan?

Baked pork buns. Whole fish in Szechuan Hot Bean Sauce with a small bowl of white rice. Passion fruit boba.

ETA: Almost always order a side order of Hot Sesame Noodles too, only I'll eat it for a snack the next day.

I really like steamed chicken and broccoli with brown rice, but I'm totally down for sweet and sour pork too!

if i am sticking (more or less) to my calories, chicken chow mein

if i'm less bothered, or its a long run day, sweet and sour battered chicken balls with fried rice

I usually go to Japanese restaurants, honestly, and have sashimi, but at a Chinese place I'd probably get the same as you - steamed shrimp (never chicken again) and broccoli, with soup (probably wonton though).

I really don't care much for Americanized Chinese food.

I caved to the feed a cold philosphy last night and ordered crispy prawns with walnuts and hot and sour soup. There's nothing like hot and sour soup to soothe an irritated throat!

There is a Chinese Buddhist temple near me that has a tea room. All vegan of course, as the monks live there. I always order the "Noodles in Red Cooked Soup." Super spicy, so bring your tissues for when you're crying your face off from the heat!

What I order depends on where I am at.

Ginger Asia I get Ma-La chicken with a Christmas roll and crunchy spicy salmon roll.

China Star I get Singapore style chow fun and hot n sour soup

Eastwind I get Mandarin Chicken and spring roll.

Iron Chef I get the sushi sample platter

And Lee Garden is a new discovery... I can't remember the name of the dish but it is in a spicy plum sauce... Really yummy. Lol.

99% of the time: General Tso chicken, pork fried rice, hot and sour soup, crispy noodles for the soup, egg roll, and some of those delicious fried donuts.

Hope you weren't looking for lower calorie options. ;)

Usually lo mein, sweet and sour pork, egg roll.

Although there's this place near me that says they're chinese food but they have EVERYTHING so there I always get their thai chicken, lemon chicken, beef with vegetables, etc etc.

Also, where I live a lot of places tend to be buffet only which is great because I get to have a bit of everything and bad because I get to have a bit of everything lol.
