With it being below freezing every morning I've completely lost interest in my usual Greek yogurt with PB and berries. I have plenty of time to cook, but what?

Omelettes with cheese, meat of choice, and veggies.
You can make a large frittata and eat it over a couple of days.
Bacon!6 -
I had to google frittata. It's quiche without the crust! I love quiche, but hate making pie crusts. On the list. I do like omelettes, but I've never made them myself. I have two eggs, leftover spam, cheese, and salsa. I think I have a project for tomorrow. There is always bacon in the freezer.2

@jennybearlv love Spam! Have fun experimenting with different combos!2

I've started eating oatmeal again, and love it!
I make it with Fairlife brand milk, which has been filtered and has a higher protein content. I add some protein powder to round it out for protein, frozen blueberries, and chia seeds, sometimes a handful of nuts.2 -
I do a vegetable omelet with 2 eggs, greens plus another vegetable (broccoli, zucchini, whatever), maybe mushrooms, maybe a bit of feta, and then some other source of protein on the side -- either smoked salmon or low fat cottage cheese, mainly. Sometimes I add the salmon to the omelet.1

i make one that has a combo of eggs and egg whites to up the protein and then its basically spinach, feta cheese, onions/peppers and whatever kind of meat i have in the house - yummy0 -
Proats (whey & oats)1

Frittatas are also great because you can get several breakfasts out of them.0

Protein oats
Any kind of egg dish : frittatas, crustless quiche, omelettes, breakfast burritos/sandwiches etc
I'm kinda in the same boat as you though and haven't been in the mood for proats (those artificial sweeteners have been a big turn off lately) or eggs lately though so it's been a problem!0 -

I have been using this rice protein powder for my oats because it does not have that awful sweet flavor that comes with most of the whey products I've tried. It's not good for shakes because it is gritty, but it disappears perfectly in oatmeal and IMO adds very little flavor.
I use whey powder for my post-workout shake. I just try to ignore the funky sweetener taste, but it dissolves well. Still looking for something better.0 -

The Biochem whey non flavored one tastes completely neutral to me.
I haven't found a vegan one that dissolves well enough to use for oatmeal (haven't tried rice protein, though).1 -
Well Quest powder is awesome in oatmeal, and that way I can avoid another sweetener, but sometimes I'm just not in the mood for that taste. I seriously have issues with most artificial sweeteners, it sucks!2

I have to sort of eat on the go, so I've been making egg sandwiches. Whole wheat english muffin, a slice of cheese (I like smoked gouda) and an egg over easy. If you want you can even make a big batch. Whisk together 6 eggs, a little milk, salt, pepper, and some thawed frozen spinach and pour in a baking pan (I think I use a 9x11). Bake and then cut into six squares. You can premake the sandwiches, freeze them, and then pop them in the microwae each morning.5

EVOL makes a delicious 150 calorie egg Sammie on flatbread with kale and goat cheese schmear. Get them at Target. Goes great with a quest cookies & cream shake made with 2% milk. Sweet, savory & good protein.4

Kodiak cakes! Protein pancake mix, I see it at my Target and Ralph's, so it's around. You can make it with water, or with eggs and milk and so on to bulk it up.1

I made the aforementioned omelet and it was good, like pared down huevos rancheros with spam, so weird, but satisfying.trigden1991 wrote: »Proats (whey & oats)MelanieCN77 wrote: »Kodiak cakes! Egg and fish
Egg wrap (although this one is also high carb)0 -

Oh yeah I like those too. I use the protein mix with savory toppings for more protein usually (ham, cheese and egg typically) and it's really tasty. I like the pancakes better with water only for some reason though.0 -
I like to treat myself to a microwave mug-cupcake made with egg, preferably milled seeds instead of flour, and then chocolate, nuts or whatever else I fancy, 1-2 minutes in the microwave, then topped with Greek yoghurt to cool it enough to eat. I ate it a lot when I had Gestational Diabetes and had a moderate carb diet.0

I assumed he meant protein powder, as many of them (and the most popular kind) are whey. (For example, the natural flavored Biochem I mentioned above is organic whey protein concentrate plus organic soy lecithin (the latter prevents clumping, I think, and would be a small amount).)

For protein pancakes, you don't necessarily have to buy a mix. I bookmarked this recipe years ago: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/991227/ultimate-protein-pancakes-omg/p1
I haven't tried it yet in all that time, but hey, it LOOKS good!

did see much bacon here...BACON!!!1

Bacon and Eggs! I usually also add a piece of toast or a serving of hasbrowns/tater tots.1

Sweet potato with an easy egg baked in? I love this -- you can bake a whole batch of potatoes at the weekend, then during the week just cut one open, crack an egg in, and put it under the broiler for ~5 minutes. Fancy it up with cheese/hot sauce/onions/ham or just eat it as it is.1
