That was today. And all is very well, although doc thinks I should consider dropping some weight because of my age and trying to proactively reduce the amount of stress on my joints. And I don't disagree. I guess I just needed the push from someone else.
Lol, guess I know what my New Years Resolution is now. :D
I figure 30lbs should be a good goal.

It's a worthy cause!! You can do it!
Oh I know I can. I just hadn't made it a priority. But it will be this up coming year. Lol, it's gonna remind me of pre contest dieting that I did back in my 20's, but to a much lesser extent.

Damn he wants you to lose 30 lbs? Thats a lot isnt?

Not for 5'7". 207-30 =277. I'm 283.8 this morning, 5'10", and 277 is 5 weeks away for me and just a milepost on my journey. And I do still have Dunlap's Disease.

Actually no. I'd likely be about 12% body fat at that weight. I'm probably 23% body fat now. When I competed, I came in at 160lbs for single digit body fat percentages.

I would like to put a plug in for getting an annual Physical. When you are young you may believe you are invincible. A simple blood and urine test can spot problems long before they become serious. I learned that lesson the hard way and am lucky to be alive to tell the story.

    annual check-up?

I only visit a doctor if I've injured myself.

Even then, I just rub some dirt on it until the bleeding stops.

I did that too, until I met a client who was 40, looked to be in great shape and found out he had a mild stroke. He told me that even though he was athletic, he never bothered going to the doctor at all until he started having a vision issue in one eye. After getting a full check up, he was assessed with having a mild stroke.
And that's when I got hired to help him with exercise and correct form.
That prompted me to get a yearly checkup as well. Knock on wood, I haven't had any issues yet, but at least I think I can get a jump start on anything that I may encounter in the future. I'd rather know if something was wrong through it rather than find out like my client did.
