Adrenial insufficiency diagnosis

Hi everyone....looking for folks who can relate to having adrenail insufficiency. I was just diagnosed last week...I am freaking out and I'm afraid to do anything active or afraid to hardly eat due to all the weight gain stories I've read. I am suppose to have surgery in April which is laparoscopic. I wasn't nervous about that, but once my Endo nurse told me The pre and post directions with my hydrocortisone...now I'm afraid something major will happen. I'm afraid to get s cough or cold too....my job requires me to be around children all day. Any advice? I feel like freedom is gone and this will be on my mind day in and out and all normalcy is gone...
