January basically turned into a write off for me due to illness and other factors. Looking forward to doing better in February.

@nikkiwolf glad to hear you finally received your delivery. Wishing you the best as you get used to the rollers. My husband rides on them so I know how they can be a challenge in the beginning.
Thanks! I'm more or less optimistic now that I'll figure it out with a bit more practice. I did another 40min on them yesterday - 5min before breakfast, 15min after work, 20min before going to sleep. I'm still bumping against the doorway with my shoulder or elbows every couple of minutes, but I only rode completely off the rollers once. And that was stupidity - I was watching a video of a bike ride on youtube, and when the cyclist filming it suddenly had to evade somebody stopping into his path, I instinctively jerked my bike to the side as well >:)

Well, I am _floored_ at some of you. Ho Lee Beandip! Do you have jobs? LOL. Some serious miles / time y'all logged. Give yourselves a hand!!! Well done!!!

SO GLAD I JOINED THIS CHALLENGE. I've never done anything like this and my indoor trainer would've barely been used like last year, and the year before. Hope to tack on another 10% in FEB!!!

Thanks to all of you! See you in the FEB CHALLENGE!!!!

I failed miserably this month, I didn't do as well as I thought in January, only did 56miles. 3 outdoor mountain bike rides and 2 indoor. Just got myself connected to zwift so hopefully February I will do a lot better, need to step up, I have won a place to do the Fred Whitton challenge up in the Lake District this may.

Hopefully we will both do better in February.

Weather in MA is not conducive to outdoor cycling at the moment. Considering buying an indoor trainer. Cycleops Fluid2, perhaps. Anyone tried it?

I have the Kurt Kinetic Road, not the smart version. I like the one I have for the most part. It works well with Trainer Road, and I've seen real progress since I began using TrainerRoad back in November. The one thing I'm not too thrilled by is that the trainer isn't controlled by my phone. This means it's up to me to manage gearing to get the power and cadence on target. Despite that, it does the job very well. From what I've read elsewhere, I'd avoid the smart version of this trainer. It uses a proprietary connection type, which means that any of the bike tools out there that speak ANT+/BLUE won't connect to it.

I know it's not the Cycleops Fluid2, but hopefully it can give you another comparison point for what you do buy.
