AKA the land of no American junk food but amazing cheeses

My grandfather immigrated from Switzerland. He would bring the grandchildren some very good Swiss chocolate when he made return visits.

I need to find a long-lost Swiss relative to reconnect with...

I've got plenty of those to go around.

I'd happily transfer one or two, free of charge. Can't guarantee on the value of the merchandise though

Sure, send her the uncle who lives in a van down by the river.

I don't want the creepy uncle! I'll take the sweet grandmother who always brings chocolate.

The paranoid-schizophrenic one or the plain paranoid one?

I've also got several alzheimer's aunts I could share...

Well, the aunts might forget bringing her chocolates, and bring her more... or they might just forget the chocolates altogether.

It's hard watching people slowly deteriorate. :(

What? You don't like the choice? Picky Picky

(sadly, I'm not even joking about any of those diagnoses. We just wish Uncle E was better at taking his meds. It's rather unsafe for a woman to approach him when his in one of the paranoid phases of his schizophrenia and hasn't been taking his meds

    Now we need more fluff!

(the chocolates I always got from my Granna. Sadly, she's no longer amongst us, so I have to buy the chocolates myself in memoriam  )

My dad and step mom used to give us a box of the cheapest chocolates they could find every year for Christmas (or so it seemed). I would pick one, take a small bite, throw it out, and repeat through the entire box. There is only so much waxy chocolate one person can eat.

I just wish more people would understand what it's like for the relatives and stop trivializing mental health problems.

Not everything can be fixed with a box of chocolates.

My love for carbs extend to my cats. I break off pieces of bread or muffins and they eat it. Small pieces, I realize they are primarily keto. I don't judge them.

My dad always eats a cheese sandwich for breakfast.

Well. He eats most of it, one of the cats eats parts of it

They sit together in the living room, my dad on the sofa, the cat on the living room table and share the sammich. It's hilarious

(he breaks off little piece for her  )
