Hey, out there....are any of you older like me....even with exercise and diet...I still look frumpy..and...most clothes don't fit right as my butt flattened..my boobs fell ...my tummy became round....but my legs lose weight...also my nose keeps growing....what can I look forward to.....besides my rocking chair.....trying to keep on track of losing weight but sometimes I just wonder why....

The first step in the right direction is being on here!

Now you not only will be working on becoming healthier physically, but mentally as well!

Moving around will unflatten your butt, unround your tummy, and will help your clothes fit better!

Why did you join? What is your ultimate goal? By remiding yourself, you'll get there. You have a lot of life left! YOU CAN DO IT!!! (this reminds me alot of my mom, while trying to lose weight. She has lost 30lbs on weight watchers. Slowly... and she has wanted to give up many times... but she pushes on.)

    Push on.

Drink more water, walk up and down your driveway, do knee lifts, kicks, side steps, etc. while you're waiting in line at the store or while there is a commercial on tv. Little things make up big things when you look back at how far you've come.

    You got this!

Great advice and encouragement here from @woznube7 . I'm in the latter years of the baby boomer generation, but I see some of the things you describe in myself. Losing weight/watching my weight and exercising/strength training has definitely helped me.

I want to age gracefully where my health is concerned. I also want to avoid a knee replacement or hip replacement. I understand that some people need these replacements for other than weight related reasons, but I believe losing weight will help me avoid these surgeries to the extent possible.

No, with proper eating and exercise, at age 61 I've lost 149 pounds and am in the best shape of my life! I really don't care about a few sags here or there because I feel better than I've felt in decades and can do things I've never been able to before.
