Not sure if I'd use clothbpads, but I am intrigued by period panties. It sort of the same thing, but just underwear, nothing additional required. Haven't bitten that bullet yet though.

I've seen the panties. Definitely don't like the idea of wearing it all day.

I don't know about others, but it always happens to me. I just am used to getting dirty now.

i used to use the instead version that you can (still?) buy in any grocery store from the same shelf as the tampon supply. i did love them, though i can see how if you just get light periods there might not be as much point.

i actually figured out a kegel-ish trick to get mine to mostly empty before i reached in for it. those things can dam up a looooooot of blood, so discovering how to do that under controlled conditions made the reach-in-and-grab part much tidier. i didn't think i could describe or explain it, but i hate a mystery so this got me trying to figure it out by memory. for those who care:
idk if what i did with instead would apply for the deep diva cups. instead is more like a wide flat ring, and more shallow. it lodges in behind your pubic bone instead of latching on around the cervix itself. so the kegelish trick wasn't expecially hard to do; it was just a matter of either tilting it and/or putting some pressure on it or something like that. once the rim buckles the seal usually breaks and then it's fairly easy from there.

Well I mean I've used both clothpads and cups and while I eventually decided I much prefer cups (cloth pads are a pain to wash unless you can do a laundry like every day of your period, though I assume with lighter flow it's easier) both have been fine to use for a variety of activities. Both do take some getting used to though so if you decide to use either I'd give it three or so cycles before you decide to swear by or rule out any one method.
