Syncing the Iphone health app with MFP

I've tried to sync the Health app on my Iphone to MFP. It seems to counts my steps but doesn't really adjust the calorie goal correctly. Does anyone use this?

I use my Apple Watch as a HRM which feeds into Apple health kit. I think there's a problem with the steps tracker at the moment as mine records the steps but doesn't allocate me any calories.

No help to offer but I'm very frustrated too. For example, today I worked out and logged with Strava (which is the only way I can get my Peloton rides into apple HealthKit, so my peloton said 840 calories, Strava said 540something and loaded that to apple. But my active calories for the day say 333! It's like apple ignores the calories all together.

If you also log a workout, the step count allowance goes away I have noticed. Also when the Apple app posts to my MFP wall it doubles everything, even though the cals added to my diary are correct. People are all "wow nice job"and I'm like yeah no I didn't do that. It seems to be quite buggy.

Does Strava actually put a workout into the Activity app? I know there are some apps that can only interact with the Health app and not Activity. I'm quite tech savvy but getting the Health/Activity apps to work with other things is mind bending sometimes.

Does MyFitnessPal have any kind of support? I've seen no responses from Support to this issue. My MFP was just updated and now I've LOST the steps connection, even though I've allowed access between my iPhone Health App and MFP in both directions.

Same here. I've haven't had exercise calories adjusted for the last week or so.
  • I’m assuming you’ve already ensured that you’ve allowed access in you apple health app to allow MFP to read data from it.
If I add exercise manually to apple health it shows up as exercise in MFP.

I’ve tried to use apple health as a sort of hub to have other apps sr d data to it and then health feeds mfp. The biggest challenge I have is that many of the other apps don’t send the data to apple health.

i log my exercise on my watch. it imports that, or the calories, into mfp.

    really, thats all that matters.

i can look at my watch or the app to see step count. if its above your estimated activity level it will still adjust calories, even without saying ' walked 80 kajillion steps'
