Jogging. I get so bored doing laps of a pool. At least running I can listen to music ir an audio book and see some countryside

Oh yeah, the no music thing with swimming is a turn off for me too. Actually, now that I think of it, that may be the issue with me not being able to push myself while swimming laps. When I run I have a playlist that is designed to pump me up (and it really does) but I don't get that in the pool. I won't say that the quiet by itself isn't nice though, it's relaxing but not inducive to an energetic work out.

Water jogging! Haha! Nah, I'll do either. I'd rather be outside though.

I only swim to prevent drowning.

Running.... I've run enough already, I'm retired from the sport.

I find both relaxing. <3 to jog. <3 to swim.

The only consideration@swimming for me would be open ocean swimming. Can take the joy out of it for me, due to excessive planning ... currents, temperature, sea creatures seasonal changes etc.

    Totally agree !

Started running along the beach@Coronado 8 months after surgery on my ankle. Was really surprised ... Zero friction ... Zero pain.

Definitely swimming! I began my weight loss journey four years ago at age 65 and 376# and found out my knees & ankles could take floor aerobics so I switched to water aerobics. After losing 100+ I added swimming 1/4 mile laps to my water aerobics.
    Now swimming 1/2 in laps.

Between the two I would choose swimming as I loath running...but cycling is my thing.

Swimming all the way! I've been swimming competitively for ~25 years now and love it. I push myself far harder in the pool than I ever have while jogging or running, and after a knee injury about 10 years ago, have jogged maybe 50 miles since then.

Running, but I'd give up both for a bike any day.

Water is a bit hard for swimming right now, so I'll stick to the treadmill.

Well when I was a child I, was in the pool when the ice cream truck came so; I had to swim & run to it but otherwise I disliked, rely races during recess as; a child but I, love the; memories now because it wasn't competitive we just had fun, no 1 cared if they had the slowest person on the team; except me because it; was me lol! I am, able to; run fast but not long, like across an; average parking lot! Plus running makes some people've to go #2, so I won't run where; there isn't a toilet nearby!

    Swimming. Ideally in alpine lakes.
