Oh yeah, the no music thing with swimming is a turn off for me too. Actually, now that I think of it, that may be the issue with me not being able to push myself while swimming laps. When I run I have a playlist that is designed to pump me up (and it really does) but I don't get that in the pool. I won't say that the quiet by itself isn't nice though, it's relaxing but not inducive to an energetic work out.3 -
Water jogging! Haha! Nah, I'll do either. I'd rather be outside though.2

Running - though, I do enjoy swimming sometimes!2

I only swim to prevent drowning.
Running.... I've run enough already, I'm retired from the sport.4 -
I find both relaxing. to jog. to swim.
The only consideration@swimming for me would be open ocean swimming. Can take the joy out of it for me, due to excessive planning ... currents, temperature, sea creatures seasonal changes etc.2 -

Started running along the beach@Coronado 8 months after surgery on my ankle. Was really surprised ... Zero friction ... Zero pain.2 -
Definitely swimming! I began my weight loss journey four years ago at age 65 and 376# and found out my knees & ankles could take floor aerobics so I switched to water aerobics. After losing 100+ I added swimming 1/4 mile laps to my water aerobics.
Now swimming 1/2 in laps.2 -
Jogging, but I don't jog so TAEKWONDO IT IS!!!2

Between the two I would choose swimming as I loath running...but cycling is my thing.2

Swimming all the way! I've been swimming competitively for ~25 years now and love it. I push myself far harder in the pool than I ever have while jogging or running, and after a knee injury about 10 years ago, have jogged maybe 50 miles since then.2

Hate both...swimming marginally less...1

Running, but I'd give up both for a bike any day.2

Water is a bit hard for swimming right now, so I'll stick to the treadmill.2

Well when I was a child I, was in the pool when the ice cream truck came so; I had to swim & run to it but otherwise I disliked, rely races during recess as; a child but I, love the; memories now because it wasn't competitive we just had fun, no 1 cared if they had the slowest person on the team; except me because it; was me lol! I am, able to; run fast but not long, like across an; average parking lot! Plus running makes some people've to go #2, so I won't run where; there isn't a toilet nearby!2
