BUMP

On other online forums, BUMP means "bring up my post." But here at mfp, I've seen it used where 1) there is no post pertaining to the referenced post or 2) the user has their page locked, ergo one cannot bring up any of their posts. Looking for the referenced post is utterly a waste of time.
Tonight, I read three different posts that read "I'm bumping for later reading." What? How are others using BUMP? :noway:

If you post in a topic, it puts it on your list of topics you have posted in on your profile. This means you can find it again later without having to search the whole forum.0

Ah, so it means the reader is pinning the post to their page...okay...wish people would just say that. Thanks for your help!0
